We classify massage
in two ways: (1) Stress-relief, calming Swedish massage,
and
(2) therapeutic bodywork.
Aside from the areas listed below, we can address
specific issues during that visit. If you would like to focus
on a specific area and then have the remainder be relaxing, that's
possible.
You're the boss! |

Classic Swedish Massage
This is the standard for all stress-relief
massages, and is the one most used in spas today. Friction, gliding,
stretching, lengthening and widening strokes are used. You have
the choice of light, medium or firm pressure. Any problem areas
will be addressed as needed. Our therapists have a variety of modalities
they use, depending on their massage training. |

Trigger Point Therapy
The tearing of muscle fibers, muscle injury,
can occur from a single event or may be an on-going process. Trigger
points are extremely sensitive areas surrounding an injury. Pain
can radiate from the injured area in any direction. Deep lateral
friction or ischemic pressure are used to aid in this therapy.
After 72 hours, any injury can be massaged. |

TMJ
Therapy
This type of work is for those whose jaw
either locks up or is constantly popping. The muscles on the side
of the jaw, the scalp and the neck are massaged. A series of 3,
30-minute sessions is recommended to start. |

Ultimate Back & Neck Massage
These two areas are where we store most
of our tension. Releasing back and neck tension is one way to let
go stress to revitalize you. Various techniques are used to release
stress-induced fascia ‘knotting’. It’s a workout
for your back and neck, but well worth the effort. |

Shoulder, Arm, Wrist & Hand
This service is designed for those who work
on computers, play tennis or golf in order to help prevent carpal
tunnel syndrome, golf or tennis elbow. The whole extremity and
shoulder are treated to ensure complete muscle relaxation. This
is a "must have" treatment for other massage therapists! |
